Add your accounts
Create checking, savings, credit card, loan, retirement, and investment accounts. Pick the accounts you actually spend from so the dashboard can show useful spendable cash.
User guide
A plain-language guide to the Mac app and iPhone companion. meMoney is local-first, manual-first, and built for planning. It does not move money, trade investments, or provide professional financial advice.
Use this flow when you are setting up meMoney for the first time.
Create checking, savings, credit card, loan, retirement, and investment accounts. Pick the accounts you actually spend from so the dashboard can show useful spendable cash.
Add deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and balance adjustments. Use place and note fields to keep the merchant and your explanation separate.
Add utilities, subscriptions, loan payments, card payments, and savings goals that behave like monthly commitments. Mark bills paid when the money actually leaves or is scheduled.
Use the dashboard to check monthly overview, cash available, upcoming bills, credit card pressure, savings progress, and budget pulse before you make the next money decision.
These are the moves you will use most often.
Choose the account, enter the amount, date, category, place, and optional note. Credit card purchases increase the card balance; bank withdrawals reduce cash.
Open Bills, choose the bill, confirm the payment account and amount, then mark it paid. Linked cards and loans update their balances when payment records are saved.
Use balance adjustment when the app and your bank disagree. meMoney creates an adjustment record instead of silently changing history.
Import bank or card activity from a file you choose, review the matches, and only save the transactions you want. Make a backup before a large import.
Create a fresh backup before reset, restore, beta updates, large imports, or big cleanup sessions. Keep older backups until both Mac and iPhone show the expected data.
Use the same Apple ID and iCloud account on both devices. The iPhone companion is for quick entries and checks; the Mac app remains the main planning workspace.
A quick map of what each area is for.
See the month at a glance: cash, flow, bills, cards, budgets, savings, and alerts that need attention.
Manage checking, savings, ledgers, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, balance corrections, and account categories.
Track due dates, paid status, recurring commitments, subscriptions, savings-goal bills, credit card payments, and loans.
Monitor balances, payments, APR promos, utilization, loan payoff progress, and payment history.
Plan goals, compare budget versus actual spending, and use category history to build a more realistic monthly plan.
Track brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, positions, watchlist items, optional market prices, and holdings summaries.
Review spending categories, upcoming money calendar, purchase planning, reports, and future cash-flow scenarios.
Export PDF reports, print supported reports, and use report details to review categories or clean up transaction records.
meMoney does not require online-banking credentials. Your records stay on your device unless you use iCloud sync, which uses your Apple account. Optional market-price and exchange-rate features may contact external providers for symbols or currency pairs, but meMoney does not send your full ledger or balances to Henry'sDev.
Forecasts, retirement numbers, loan comparisons, investment values, budget suggestions, and purchase plans are estimates for organization. They are not financial, tax, investment, pension, legal, or professional advice.
